Hackney Wick Warehouse

London E9

Overview

Hackney Wick has undergone rapid regeneration in recent years and most of the area’s old commercial buildings have been converted to residential use. This iconic 16,000 sq ft four-storey former Victorian book factory is one of the last period commercial buildings remaining in the area with B1-B8 use. The prominent building, which can be seen from Hackney Wick station, was home to Central Books for 28 years before it was acquired by Developland in 2015. Developland secured a bar/restaurant establishment in the ground floor of the property and let the commercial space above to four prominent businesses, replicating its successful commercial scheme at Stamford Works in Dalston.
